The Lord changed his name from Simon to Cephas (Petros - Rock) which would symbolize the rock-like firmness of Peter's belief the "Christ was the Son of the Living God". He was spokesman of the Twelve and his greatest moment was Pentecost Day, when He delivered the stirring sermon recorded in the first chapter of Acts. Together with Paul, they are honored as the greatest of Apostles. Courage and Strength"But the Lord is faithful and He will strengthen you and keep you safe from the evil one. And the Lord gives us confidence in your and we are sure you are doing and will continue to do what we tell you."
